The AIChE (American Institute of Chemical Engineers) is a nonprofit professional organization for chemical engineers. It was created in 1908 with the aim of distinguishing chemical engineering as a profession independent of chemistry and mechanical engineering. AIChE currently has over 60,000 members operating in over 110 countries (https://www.aiche.org/).
The AIChE FEI acts as a chapter of this institution, sharing its missions, values, and visions and participating in its competitions and student events. In addition, the AIChE FEI also develops environmental, educational, and social events and projects, also developing the humanistic side of the engineer, a fundamental side of successful training.
